Second Quarter 2013 Newsletter
Welcome to the Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce. Promoting the community and its economy is vital to the chamber. The Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce is an independent, private, non-profit organization financed by its members to promote business and advocate on their behalf. It is not a government agency and is autonomous from the City of Wayland.
The Chamber recognizes that our most valuable resources are our members, volunteers and staff, and that by working together and using our resources in a balanced manner will we accomplish our set mission. Our members consist of over 200 local business owners. While many of the members have an actual storefront in Wayland or the nearby area, we have many businesses that are managed from home or have a mobile business.
The chamber holds several annual networking events including various types of formal and informal gatherings, the annual golf outing, and the annual business EXPO. Our members are also encouraged to initiate member networking events that the chamber will help organize and plan.
If you are a new business or have a special anniversary or celebration, we can help arrange for a ribbon cutting ceremony and press releases. The chamber will inform all members of the celebration and invite local city officials and media. We encourage our citizens to shop and support the chamber businesses. Membership in the Chamber is an investment in your business development and the economic health of Wayland.

Save the Dates Thursday, May 23: CCW Luncheon (Connected Chamber Women), Pinnacle Center, Hudsonville, 11:30am-1:00pm. Wayland Area Chamber Ladies are invited to join in networking with other West MI Chamber ladies while enjoying a great lunch. Click here to Register. Tuesday, June 4: Chamber After Hours at Sand Bar & Grill, 4:30pm-6:30pm Friday, June 28: Chamber Whitecaps Night on the Centennial Securities Deck, PUBLIC EVENT. Includes All-You-Can-Eat Buffet. Watch for registration information soon… Thursday, September 26: Multi-Chamber After Hours at Holiday Inn (Pearl St), Grand Rapids. Network with several West MI Chambers at this Kick-Off to Art Prize event. FREE member event includes appetizers, beverages, and a cash bar will be available. Generously sponsored by Wyoming-Kentwood Chamber of Commerce. 5:00pm-7:00pm Saturday, October 5: Annual Business Expo, Wayland Middle School (701 Wildcat Dr), 10:00am-2:00pm.
