 Hello and welcome to the Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce,
As the new executive director, I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how I am looking forward to working with the current and future chamber members. Having lived in Wayland or Wayland School district for most of my life, I am excited to be able to promote Wayland and the businesses within the chamber. I enjoy working with and helping others aspire to achieve their goals. My education includes a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts from Aquinas College with a major in Communication and Education. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband Michael, daughter Deana, and son Matthew. Some of our favorite places include Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and Arizona. Anything that involves a thrill is also at the top of our list, including white water rafting in southern Pennsylvania, parasailing, and jumping off several cliffs in Mexico on a zipline! The Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate the Gun Lake Tribe of Pottawatomi Indians in their successful campaign to build the long awaited casino.
It has been a long journey for the tribe and the Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to the economic development the new casino will bring to the Wayland area. We are looking forward to not only the jobs that the new casino will bring, but the new businesses that will be brought to the area due to the casino.
