The Wayland VFW Post 7581 have announced that they will offer a weekly fish fry every Friday through April 10th. These dinners are OPEN to the public and are from 5:00pm-7:00pm. These “All-You-Can-Eat” Fish dinners are $10.00 for ages thirteen and above. Children five through twelve are $5.00 each. Children four and younger are free. Take-Out meals are also available for $10 per meal. In addition to the dinner, guests can enjoy potatoes, rolls, a beverage and dessert. A bake sale will also take place during the February 14th and March 13th dinners. All are invited to come out to support your local Veterans and VFW Post. By popular demand, City of Wayland Mayor Tim Bala will be making his famous cole slaw to compliment the fish dinner. According to VFW Volunteer and former Men’s Auxiliary President Andy Tobolic, “Many have claimed that the Mayor’s famous cole slaw is the BEST around.” Mayor Bala has been volunteering his culinary skills for years making the cole slaw from scratch. The VFW would like to express thanks to all who volunteer at this great event and to everyone who supports it. Wayland VFW Post #7581 is located at 735 S Main Street in Wayland. Take-Out meals are available by calling 269-792-2975.
