Derby Day Coming to Wayland
On Saturday, July 28th from 10:00am-1:00pm, The Laurels of Sandy Creek will be hosting Derby Day open to the public. The event will include a Pinewood Derby Race, pony rides, Kentucky Derby Hat Workshop, Potato Sack Races, Hot Dog Lunch, Popcorn, and Cotton Candy. There will be prizes awarded for the derby races. Kits to build the cars are free and can be picked up at the Laurels of Sandy Creek, 425 E. Elm Street in Wayland from June 18-22 from 8:00am-5:00pm. The cost to enter the race is $5.00 per entry.
