Students from the Wayland Union High School Orchestra will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians from the Grand Rapids Symphony. The Symphony provides this opportunity to support and increase public awareness of the fine high school orchestra programs in the Greater Grand Rapids area.
“This experience will stay with these students for the rest of their lives. It will be an amazing evening,” said Karen Nofsinger, Wayland Union Schools Conductor.
This activity is part of the Symphony’s extensive education and community service programs, which serve more than 70,000 students each year.
The Side-by-Side Concert will be performed on Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30pm in the Wayland Union Fine Arts Center located at 870 E. Superior Street in Wayland. Doors open at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Advance tickets will be available beginning April 11 by the following ways: from any orchestra student; at the Wayland Union Schools Administration office between 8am-4pm; at Kevin Hodel State Farm Agency on 861 S.
